Dr Sketchy’s
If you are into live model sketching, having fun and drinking alcohol, then Dr, Sketchy’s could be the right venue for you. Molly Crabapple, the founder of Dr. Sketchy’s dreamed up a great idea to create elaborate sets with interesting themes so artists could draw and sketch while hanging out with friends and fellow artists. A recent theme was Bettie Page and most others revolve around hotty burlesque women and the such. Be sure to check one out, there might just be one in your area, Dr. Sketchy’s is world wide. Check the website for more info…
Albert Guasch
I got the chance to visit Spain last year and was amazed by how some of the towns were so focused on the arts. Most street corners of Salamanca were filled with artists painting the beautiful landscapes of 500 year old buildings and twisting water ways. Albert Guasch graduated from the University of Barcelona with a degree in Fine Arts. He does illustrations and paintings that are surreal and focused. Look forward to seeing more.
Danni Shinya Luo
I don’t know to much about this artist, but I thought her work was worth a peek. Check out more great images through the link.

Lance Armstrong Foundation
Lance Armstrong and Mark Parker teamed up to push art into the mainstream to help in the fight against cancer. Many great artists including Shepard Fairey, Eric White, KAWS and others contributed art. It is great seeing all these great artists coming together for a good cause.
Art-World Reality Show
Hundreds of artists turned out to try for there spot in the next great reality TV show. This is exactly what the art world needs to get things moving and get more people interested in art. Artists create history and give up so much to do what they love. Its about time someone produced a reality show about artists. This one is being produced by Sarah Jessica Parker, nice job Sarah.
