Dzine “The Beautiful Struggle”
Chicago-based artist Carlos Rolon, aka Dzine, is showing his work at the Gestaltan Space in Berlin, Germany. His incredibly ornate works comment on the consumerism of all cultural subgroups, exploring objects that are used for style and as status markers. Dzine’ show “The Beautiful Struggle” includes shrines dedicated to “bling” culture in an incredible juxtaposition of pop art and religious idols. Go see it before it closes on October 16, 2011!
