Joshua Liner Gallery NYC – Summer Group Exhibit
Opening this Saturday, August 14th and running through September 2nd at the Joshua Liner Gallery in NYC is the 2010 Summer Group Exhibit showcasing 24 artists including both gallery regulars and newcomers. The show will feature a number of mediums including painting, sculpture and drawing with works by Shawn Barber, Kenichi Yokono, David Kassan, Toffany Bozic, Jessica Joslin and more.
In addition to this group event, many of the artists will return throughout the year for solo shows including Dennis McNett’s solo debut which will take place in December and showcase his macabre hand-carved wood cut pieces and sculptures. In early 2011, Pema Rinzin’s solo will feature his riveting abstraction of Buddhist patterns using ground mineral pigments and gold on canvas. The solo shows continue throughout the spring, summer and fall of 2011 debuting Ian Francis in contemporary oil painting, returning artist Jeremy Fish with silk-screen and acrylic and debuting Tony Curanaj’s still-life paintings.
The opening reception of the 2010 Summer Group Exhibit will be held on August 14th from 6-9pm and will be a good chance to meet some of the artists and get a sneak peak at what’s in store for the gallery over the next year.
