Martin Wittfooth “The Passions”
Toronto-based artist Martin Wittfooth’s new series of paintings “The Passions” will be at the Lyons Wier Gallery in New York City starting October 13, 2011. Wittfooth uses religious themes to comment on environmental issues. The series is a reinterpretation of the passion of the saints with the animal kingdom viewed as martyrs at the hands of human-created environmental disasters.
